Three days is the most popular length for a Komodo charter — long enough to reach the park's highlights, short enough to fit around a Bali holiday. Here is the route our captains recommend.
Day 1 — Kelor and Rinca
Board in Labuan Bajo by mid-morning and sail to Kelor for a short hike and your first snorkel. After lunch on deck, a ranger guides you through Rinca to meet the Komodo dragons in the wild. Anchor at Kalong to watch thousands of flying foxes leave the mangroves at dusk.

Day 2 — Padar, Pink Beach and Manta Point
An early start is worth it: the viewpoint on Padar at sunrise is the most famous view in Indonesia. Then swim at Pink Beach and drift over Manta Point, where reef mantas feed in the current.
Day 3 — Taka Makassar and Kanawa
A sandbar that appears only at low tide, a final snorkel on the reefs of Kanawa, and back to Labuan Bajo by early afternoon in time for your flight.
Most guests tell us the dragons were the reason they came — and the mantas were the reason they want to come back.
